I have not seen even Sachin Tendulkar do what Kohli has done: Sourav Ganguly

Sourav Ganguly has come out in support of Virat Kohli after a rare failure with the bat from the India skipper in the first Test of the Border-Gavaskar series in Pune. Ganguly insists that “Kohli is human and he had to fail one day” but pointed out to his glorious record against the Aussies.

During his team’s 333-run defeat in under three days, Kohli scored 0 and 13 on a difficult Pune track. He played at a ball he should have left in the first innings and then left a ball that he should have played in the second.

"Kohli is human and he had to fail one day. He failed in both innings in Pune. I think he played a little bit of a loose shot in the first innings outside the off stump but the Australians bowled him there,” Ganguly told India Today.

Ganguly compared Kohli to Tendulkar, saying his four back-to-back Test tons against Australia is something even the Master Blaster did not achieve.

"To watch those four back-to-back Test match hundreds against Australia in Australia (was surreal). I have not seen even Sachin Tendulkar do that," Ganguly said.
