The Kolkata Knightriders not only lost the match but they also lost points on the fair play tally when Robin Uthappa elbowed the SRH pacer Siddarth Kaul during the second innings. Yuvraj Singh did not let the incident slide by and backed his teammate by giving Uthappa a piece of his mind

The IPL phenomenon is known for the diversity of players and the spirit with which they play the beautiful game. Aggression is good in cricket but it has his limits which were clearly noted by every cricketing fan after this incident. Yesterday, Sunrisers Hyderabad handed a crushing 48-runs defeat to the Kolkata Knightriders at the Rajiv Gandhi International stadium in Hyderabad. The KKR side seemed disgruntled with the defeat and Robin Uthappa looked like a sore loser at the end of the day, after his altercation with Kaul.

Siddarth Kaul bowled a brilliant third over which brought curtains to Gambhir's innings and Uthappa tried to perturb the pacer's rythm. On the last delivery of the same over, Uthappa smacked a short delivery which was straying down the leg for a boundary. He then elbowed the youngster while walking past him to the surprise of Kaul and the whole SRH squad. The incident did not go down well with Yuvraj Singh, who made his displeasure evident to the 31-year old when he walked across the field for what looked like an intense chat.

Uthappa's aggression was pardonable if it had been with the bat but physically showing aggression is against the spirit of the game. When the play was interrupted due to rain Yuvraj and Uthappa were seen having a friendly chat and it looked like the 31-year old had learnt his lesson.

Did you know Yuvraj Singh became the first player to take a 5-wicket haul and score a 50 in the same World Cup match.
