Delhi Daredevils fielding in the ongoing IPL 2017 has evoked mixed reactions. Despite having one of the youngest sides in the tournament, the Daredevils have not always maintained the highest fielding standards.

And in the ongoing game against the Gujarat Lions, the trend looked set to continue after Shreyas Iyer and Marlon Samuels dropped two Suresh Raina catches in the same over. But as the innings went on, the fielding got better as Kagiso Rabada's dead accurate throw sent the Gujarat captain packing. But the best effort of the day was yet to come as Rishabh Pant pulled off a genuine world class effort to dismiss Aaron Finch.

The incident occurred in the penultimate over of the innings with Finch looking to finish the Lions innings with a flourish. But the Aussie top edged a short ball off Kagiso Rabada but the ball appeared to be falling in no man’s land. However, Pant had other ideas, as he ran back, keeping his eyes on the ball and even communicating with Shahbaz Nadeem at the same time, before putting in a full-stretch dive and claiming a diving catch just before the ball could hit the ground.
