England pacer James Anderson’s recent performances have helped him in displacing Ravindra Jadeja at the top of the ICC Test rankings for bowlers. He is the only English bowler in the top 10, followed by the Indian spin duo of Jadeja and Ravichandran Ashwin in second and third place respectively.

Anderson played a huge role in England’s win in the third Test against West Indies where he became the first English and the sixth bowler in World cricket to pick up 500 Test wickets. The 35-year-old claimed career-best figures of 7/42 in an innings and nine wickets in the match which helped England seal the three-match Test series 2-1.

After the series, not only did he win the man of the series award but also secured the top position in latest ICC Test player rankings. With 896 points he claimed the No. 1 position and dethroned Jadeja. Ashwin, Rangana Herath, and Josh Hazlewood complete the top five spots.

Moeen Ali is another English player who gained one spot to reach the 19th place and Stuart Broad managed to hold on to his 11th place. From India, Mohammad Shami is the third bowler who featured in the top-20 as he spotted on 18th position with 618 points.

Indian cricket team continued to lead the ICC Test rankings with 125 points and followed by South Africa and England at the second and third position. After losing the series from England, West Indies spotted on 8th position with 75 points.
