Jasprit Bumrah “no-ball” makes Twitter go berserk again

Jasprit Bumrah became the butt of all jokes when he dismissed Fakhar Zaman on a “no-ball” in the Champions Trophy final and did an encore against Sri Lanka in the ODI series. However, when he did that once again on a ball that almost took Faf du Plessis out, Twitter couldn't wait to go all over him.

Newlands proved to be a memorable venue for Bumrah as he made his Test debut today, but he failed to make a good start to his red-ball career, bowling at undesirable lengths that allowed the South African duo of Faf du Plessis and AB de Villiers to settle on the wicket after Bhuvneshwar Kumar sent the top three batsmen back to the pavilion. His worries compounded when the umpire, Richard Kettleborough, denied him the maiden Test wicket on a ball, at the review, seemed to touch du Plessis’ pad and went to the hand of Wridhhiman Saha the wicket-keeper.

However, the entire Indian team were charged up and even went on to say that “Han Awaz aaya hai” which could be translated to “Yeah, There was a sound”. To confirm it, Virat Kohli even asked the close-in onside fielders and Saha twice and when Saha said “Han do awazaaya hai”, which translates to, “Yes, there were two sounds”, Kohli decided to go for the review.

But what came on the screen made almost every Indian angry as zoomer confirmed that Bumrah had a part of his foot on the line and nothing behind it, which meant that it was a no-ball. That, though, saved India from losing a review because as per the DRS laws, the team will not lose a review if it turns out to be a no-ball.

But, it was actually a strange review in the first place as the screen confirmed that the ball was nowhere close to the bat and there was no way Saha could have heard two sounds. For all his majesty behind the stumps, Saha still needs to learn various other nuances related to wicket-keeping.

But for the time being, can Bumrah please stop overstepping time and again?

Thank God SERIOUSLY!!!

Perfect name does not exi..

Jasprit Bumrah be like

Name a better love-story than this

But it wasn't just the one incident that the Twitteratti were interested in talking about. From Bhuvneshwar's brilliance with the ball to de Villiers' counter-attacking play the Tweeple had a field day talking about the day's action.

Every South African fan’s dream!
