IPL has bridged the gap between domestic and international cricket, and in the process, it also has given the young cricketers a chance to impress their heroes. Shreyas Gopal definitely impressed many with that googly, but more importantly, he left himself surprised after the Virat Kohli dismissal.

Virat Kohli, back to open the innings in the IPL, started slowly and seemed to be very much in control with the spinners operating from one end regularly. Shreyas Gopal, however, was in a different mood altogether and wanted to showcase his talent to the team from his home city.

On the third delivery of the seventh over, he bowled a wrong 'un to the RCB skipper, but the latter failed to judge the delivery from the bowler's hand. Instead, of rocking back to slash it with an angled position, he lazily pressed forward on the drive, leaving a huge gap between bat and pad. The ball invariably crashed into the off and middle stump, which meant Kohli had to depart.

While everything was normal until that point, Gopal was completely surprised by the type of delivery that he could deliver and was stunned completely by that. He ran forward with his hand on his face, almost with a gesture of disbelief, but that was just the start of something more special for him tonight as he sent AB de Villers and Shimron Hetmyer back to the hut as well.
