After having batted no higher than No.6 in his T20I career up until the second T20I, skipper Virat Kohli gave Dube a surprise promotion, sending him to bat at No.3 after KL Rahul's dismissal. And the all-rounder from Mumbai grasped his opportunity with both hands, powering his way to a 30-ball 54, pummelling the Windies bowlers to submission.

En route the 54, Dube struck not one, not two, but four humongous sixes, showing the whole world his ability with the bat after having already previously won a game with the ball last month. Speaking after the match, Dube has stated that he likes to back his power-dominant approach, which he believes is his strength, and also stated that he is capable of clearing any ground in the world.

"That's (power-hitting) my strength and I always go like that only. This ground is quite big but I have the capability of clearing any ground. Hope you have seen it today, and also what capability I have," Dube told in the post-match press conference, reported Cricbuzz.

But the initial few deliveries were anything but easy for the 26-year-old, who was often seen slogging and either missing or mistiming the ball. Dube has now revealed how his batting partner and vice-captain Rohit Sharma helped him settle down, advising him to back his strength, one which eventually helped him break his shackles and score big.

"I was under a bit of pressure. Rohit bhai said, 'don't worry, back your self and back your strength.' That's what you need from your senior, it helps to get that motivation and he did that," Dube revealed. 

Vinayak Samant, Dube's coach in the Mumbai side since his U23 days, also noted that the all-rounder made a conscious adjustment to his stance in order to be able to tee off from the word go. Samant feels that it might have been the result of the team management giving him the license to kill from the word go. 

"He made a change to his stance, that's not how he usually bats. His backlift was higher than usual, which meant that he was looking to play the big shots right from the start. Maybe, he was given the license by the team management to go after the bowlers."
