Wicket-keepers are always required to be lightning fast with their reflexes but are always at the risk of missing out on key wickets. Jos Buttler escaped some major shame behind the stumps after he missed dislodging the bails the first time but succeeded in the next attempt to dismiss Jason Holder.

England registered an impressive six-wicket victory against Windies in the opening ODI at the Kensington Oval in Barbados. The home team put up a mammoth total of 360 in the first innings but the visitors chased down the target with eight balls to spare after opener Jason Roy and batsman Joe Root both scored commanding 100-figure scores in the second innings.

However, there was an interesting event that occurred when Windies were batting and England’s Jos Buttler was behind the stumps in the 48th over. Buttler moved quickly to dismiss Caribbean captain Jason Holder but something interesting happened before he could clip the bails from behind.

Leg spinner Adil Rashid was bowling the 48th over as Holder rushed down the track and missed on his attempt to loft the ball over extra cover. Buttler collected it behind the stumps but initially failed to whip the bails but managed to do so on the second attempt. Holder was well short of the crease and had to walk back into the hut in that particular ball.
