While there were a few positives to take from the loss in the form of Yuvraj Singh’s resurgence and the promising debut of pacer Rasikh Salam, one of the setbacks, on Sunday, was the shoulder injury picked up by Bumrah.

India’s top pacer Bumrah landed awkwardly on his left shoulder in his follow through in the last over of their campaign opener and definitely looked in pain. The youngster did not travel with his MI team-mates to Bangalore on Monday but flew there separately on Tuesday where the Mumbai-based franchise will take on Virat Kohli-led Royal Challengers Bangalore on Thursday.

Bumrah was seen running along with his team-mates for nearly 20 minutes and was later involved in a catching drill with Anmol Singh.

Bumrah spent his time on the pitch with former India pacer and Mumbai’s Director of Cricket Operations - Zaheer Khan - for the most part of the net session. Later on, the duo was also pictured having a discussion with RCB and India captain - Virat Kohli.
