Sachin Tendulkar has stated that a good performance in the Indian Premier League will invariably transfer itself to the World Cup. Tendulkar has also added that England will throw in batting-friendly wickets this time around and unless there is a cloud cover, it won’t change at all.

The workload management has been the major point of discussion in the Indian Premier League all this while, considering the World Cup is just around the corner. While it has caused a major injury concern, with MS Dhoni suffering a back spasm, the tournament also gave an opportunity to the likes of Rohit Sharma, Shikhar Dhawan and Hardik Pandya to bring back their lost form and Sachin Tendulkar believes that it is a good thing ahead of the World Cup.

"A good performance in any format is good news because it gives the player confidence. If you are confident in any format, that's important. The players have time to make some adjustments according to the conditions. All of them have played enough cricket to know what to do to improve," Tendulkar said on the sidelines of the inauguration of the MIG Club pavilion named after him, reported the Times of India.

After England changed the way they play their ODI cricket, their wickets have undergone a massive transformation as well with every venue having the potential to produce as many as 400 runs. It is the complete opposite of the popular myth that English conditions are conducive for the pacers and stating his opinion in that regard, Tendulkar said the World Cup will offer beautiful batting tracks and the ball may not swing much in the hot conditions.

"I am told it's going to be a hot summer. Even in the Champions Trophy the wickets were superb when the sun was out. In the heat the wickets get really flat. I am sure they will give beautiful tracks to bat on.”
