Former Mumbai Indians player Harbhajan Singh insists that the match between Mumbai Indians and Chennai Super Kings is undoubtedly the biggest match in the IPL. Singh added that Mumbai Indians are a team that has always come to Chennai prepared to bag all three points in the domestic league.

India spinner Harbhajan Singh is one of the few players, along with Dwayne Bravo, to have donned the Mumbai Indians and Chennai Super Kings jersey in the Indian Premier League. After leading Mumbai to its first ever Champions League Twenty20 title in 2011 and being part of the team's three IPL-winning runs, Singh ended his 10-year association with Mumbai after he was picked by Chennai Super Kings in the 2018 IPL auction.

The Mumbai-Chennai rivalry has been one of the most talked about matches and Harbhajan, who played matches for CSK this season and picked 13 wickets, attested that a match between Rohit Sharma’s Mumbai and MS Dhoni’s Chennai is definitely the biggest match of the league.

"Comfortably it's the biggest game. None of the other teams are as consistent as these two...I remember the first time I played for CSK against Mumbai (in 2018), I wanted the game to get over as quickly as possible. Now it's been a while and I am as much a part of the CSK family as I was of Mumbai's," Harbhajan told ToI.

"We have more than one player who can win a game on his own. I am sure somebody will rise to the occasion tomorrow and we will be in the final," Harbhajan added.

Harbhajan, who has represented India in 236 ODI matches, recalled that when he used to be an MI player he prepared for the Chennai derby with more intensity as compared to other teams in the IPL.

"When I used to play for Mumbai, I remember how charged I used to be before this game. Mumbai is a side that comes to Chennai better prepared than other teams. The fact that we’ve lost twice to Mumbai this year is not going to make any difference. Let's make it very clear, those two losses are history. When I won the title in 2013 for Mumbai, we lost to CSK twice before beating them in the final. So those two losses in the group phase are out of our system," Harbhajan added.
