Ambati Rayudu has responded to HCA President Mohammad Azharuddin's comment of calling him a frustrated cricketer and requested him to clean-up Hyderabad cricket. Rayudu had complained about corruption in Hyderabad cricket in a tweet which led to Azharuddin calling Rayudu a frustrated cricketer.

Ambati Rayudu is arguably one of the unluckiest Indian players to have played the game of cricket. Having played 55 ODIs and 6 T20Is for his country and having performed impressively especially in testing circumstances, Rayudu was inexplicably dropped from the World Cup Squad and all-rounder Vijay Shankar was preferred over him. This did not go down well as Rayudu announced his retirement from international cricket, only to reverse his decision later and captained Hyderabad in the Vijay Hazare Trophy and the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy.

Rayudu had complained recently in a tweet to Telangana Minister for Industry and Municipal Administration KT Rama Rao about the corrupt situation in Hyderabad cricket stating that many politicians have influenced the board and are helping their children and siblings get chances in the Hyderabad team instead of the deserving ones.

"Hello sir @KTRTRS, I request u to plz look into ndaddress the rampant corruption prevailing in hca. Hw can hyderabad be great when it's cricket team is influenced by money nd corrupt ppl who hav numerous acb cases against them which are being swept under the carpet," he had said in the tweet.

To condemn this, Rayudu decided that he will not be a part of the Ranji Trophy season for Hyderabad and has urged HCA President Mohammad Azharuddin for help. To this, Azharuddin replied that Rayudu was frustrated from whatever happened with him this year and that there was no such corruption in Hyderabad cricket.

Rayudu hit back at Azharuddin's comments with a tweet that read, "Hi @azharflicks let's not make it personal. da issue is bigger dan us. We both knw wats goin on in hca. u hav a god given opportunity to clean up hyd cricket. i strongly urge u 2 isolate urself from da seasoned crooks. u wil b savin generations of future cricketers. #cleanuphydcricket."

The 34-year-old has seen a lot lately and has decided to take an indefinite break from first-class cricket.
