Sunrisers Hyderabad captain David Warner has stated that the side boasts a lot of experience with players like Jonny Bairstow, Kane Williamson and Vijay Shankar, to name a few. The southpaw also added that it would be great if youngsters from the team can translate their talent into performances.

As SRH are gearing to take on RCB in their first game of the IPL on September 21, their captain David Warner asserted that the team wants to start the tournament with a bang but are also open to changing strategies if things don't work out. He reckons that the Hyderabad-based franchise, which last won the IPL in 2016, has a very balanced side.

The explosive batsman will be key to SRH's chances as he gives impetus to the innings early on with his aggressive and consistent batting. As much as they want to win the title for which every team will be vying hard, Warner believes that the team need to have fun as anger doesn't help in rectifying mistakes.

"We will try our best for that and if it doesn't happen, will re-work our strategies and hope to go the distance in the IPL. Our side is a pretty good balanced side in all departments. The boys have to just go out there and have fun, not take it too seriously. Like if you get angry you will tend to repeat the mistakes.

"Yes, it is good to have a lot of youngsters in the middle-order. They bring a lot of enthusiasm and show the right kind of attitude, too. I have been hearing some very good reports about it on social media and hope they translate their talent into performances," Warner said during a virtual media interaction, reported TOI.

Warner is relishing the presence of experienced campaigners like Kane Williamson and Jonny Bairstow in the team. SRH also have Bhuvneshwar Kumar and Rashid Khan in their ranks, who have played decent amount of T20 cricket.

"We have plenty of experience with the likes of Kane, (Jonny) Bairstow, Vijay Shankar to name a few. We got a job on our hand for sure. We (Me and Bairstow) know when to take those calculated risks and it is time to go this year again."

Talking about the new head coach Trevor Bayliss, Warner revealed he is a very chilled man.

"The best part is that he is super relaxed, takes accountability for the team's performances. He is very chilled. With him around, there is a sense of relaxed environment. But, at the same time, he will put his foot down when required," Warner added.
