Australia batsman Marnus Labushcagne has praised Babar Azam for his century knock in second ODI saying he learned some things from Babar’s innings for his own game. Pakistan won the second ODI against Australia by six wickets equalizing the three-match ODI series to a score line of 1-1.

The ongoing three-match ODI series between Australia and Pakistan has been an exciting event to watch for the spectators as the series decider is being played in Lahore. However, in the second ODI, Pakistan captain Babar Azam scored a century to orchestrate a run chase of 349. Batting first, Australia posted a huge total of 348/8 courtesy of 104 runs by Ben McDermott.

Pakistan started the chase in response and their top-order fared very well. Fakhar Zaman scored 67 runs while Imam-ul-Haq plundered 106 runs. Babar Azam played a knock of 114 runs and orchestrated the chase. Australia batsman Marnus Labuschagne praised Babar for his innings saying that he learnt a few things for his game watching the innings.

"I enjoyed every minute of watching – it was a pity it was against us. That was a very good innings. I sat back and I took some things on board for my own game to learn from that innings," Labuschagne said to the reporters after the game.

"To score 100 off 73 balls, he barely put a foot wrong. It was just phenomenal."

Labuschagne further added that dismissing Babar Azam early in the third game of the series will be important for the team to win the match and series.

"I think if we can find a way to get him out early, put a bit more pressure on the middle to lower order, we have a chance," he opined.

The third and final ODI of the series is being played in Lahore currently and the result will decide the series winner.
