Shubman Gill was brilliant in his second game for his new franchise the Gujarat Titans as he smashed the Delhi Capitals bowlers all around the park on his way to 84. Gill's knock set the tone for his side in the first half of the match and the Gujarat bowlers did the rest to seal a victory.

Shubman Gill was in top form in Gujarat Titans' second match of IPL 2022 against Delhi Capitals. Gill batted aggressively against a formidable Delhi Capitals bowling line-up to score 84 from 46 balls. The young batter missed out on a hundred but was happy with the way he contributed to the team. Fans, as well as former cricketers, praised the right-handed batter's performance during the game.

The 22-year-old cricketer who hails from Punjab talked about his batting to the host broadcaster and said, "It felt good. It felt good to contribute runs for myself and the team. I didn't realise that (about his low dot ball percentage) but that was the plan".

Shubman Gill also talked about the plan that he had in mind when he went out to bat and said, "To keep rotating the strike and take the singles whenever possible. I think the wicket was pretty good. Was holding a bit in the start, but as the game went on, I thought it settled down".
