Dewald Brevis has caught the attention of many former cricket players and experts in a short span with performance in the U-19 World Cup this year. Brevis has been impressive in IPL and Ben Stokes praised him as he smashed Mumbai Indians bowlers all over the park, scoring 31 runs from 13 balls.

Mumbai Indians have been on a poor run in IPL 2022 as they lost their first five games in the tournament. They are currently playing their sixth match against Lucknow Super Giants and conceded a total of 199/4 in the first innings. MI lost the wicket of Rohit Sharma on a total of 16 while chasing and Dewald Brevis came in to bat. 

Brevis played a magnificent innings scoring 31 runs from 13 balls studded with six fours and a single six. During his innings, the youngster hit a straight lofted shot towards long-on to get six runs. His shot was one of the cleanest hits of the game and was oozing with class. England cricketer Ben Stokes praised him right after he played the majestic shot on social media. He posted a tweet saying 'Brevis= Player' Twitter noticed the same and flooded the social media with reactions.
