Powerful people come from powerful places, but sometimes powerful people make places powerful. Such was the case with Mumbai Indians stalwart Rohit Sharma when he departed after scoring a splendid 68 off 38 deliveries, receiving a standing ovation from the home crowd as MI played their last game.

Rohit Sharma and Dewald Brevis set the stage on fire as Mumbai Indians commenced their chase of 215 runs, posted by Lucknow Super Giants. However, their momentum faced a temporary halt due to rain, with covers covering the field for approximately 50 minutes. Nonetheless, when play resumed, Rohit Sharma showcased his skills by reaching a blistering fifty off just 28 balls, igniting the hopes of Mumbai fans gathered at the Wankhede Stadium. Despite his electrifying start, Rohit's innings were cut short in the 11th over, much to the dismay of the fervent crowd.

In the 11th over, Ravi Bishnoi delivered a tempting ball wide outside off, prompting Rohit to unleash a powerful stroke, only to find the outside edge. Mohsin Khan stationed at short third man made no mistake in securing the catch, sending Rohit back to the pavilion. Despite the disappointment, the spectators at Wankhede rose to their feet, showering their beloved local hero with applause as he made his exit.

Twitter erupted with praises for Rohit Sharma's valiant innings as Mumbai Indians chase continued.
