Acrobatics and physical prowess are undeniably crucial for any fielder, and several veterans consistently showcase this skill in every match. St. Lucia captain Faf du Plessis demonstrated this beautifully against Trinbago Knight Riders, pulling off a stunning catch to dismiss Shaqkere Parris.

‌The Kings got off to a flying start with a solid 40-run opening partnership between Faf du Plessis and Johnson Charles within the first four overs. Later, Roston Chase's brilliant 56 off 40 balls powered them to a competitive total of 187/6 in 20 overs. In response, Trinbago's opener Sunil Narine's struggles continued, as he fell cheaply, with underwhelming contributions from Jason Roy and Nicholas Pooran. However, Shaqkere Parris’ impressive half-century provided the Knight Riders some hope, but his innings came to an end with a fine delivery from Noor Ahmed, leading to a stunning catch by the Kings’ captain.

On the second ball of the 14th over, the Afghan spinner bowled a fuller-length delivery to Parris, angling around off stump, turning slightly away. The Caribbean batter tried to heave it over the off-side but mistimed his shot, resulting in a leading edge. The ball soared high toward the covers, where Faf du Plessis was positioned perfectly as he tracked its trajectory pretty well. Realizing it would land slightly square of the covers, the South African veteran sprinted backwards and nearly stumbled, but he maintained his balance just enough to complete the catch. Meanwhile, Du Plessis grabbed the ball securely and celebrated with a fist pump while still on the ground, and was soon swarmed by his jubilant teammates.

Faf you legend !
