Banter is part and parcel of cricket, and sometimes it leads to light-hearted moments on the field. Such was the case in the match between Gujarat Titans and Delhi Capitals, where Ishant Sharma engaged in a playful exchange with Ashutosh Sharma, resulting in some amusing moments.

‌It was Prasidh Krishna’s four-wicket haul for Gujarat Titans that helped restrict Delhi to 173/4 in 17 overs. But crucial contributions from Karun Nair, KL Rahul, Axar Patel, and Tristan Stubbs kept the scoreboard ticking. Additionally, a fiery 37 off 19 balls from Ashutosh Sharma pushed Delhi to a strong total of 203/8. During his knock, a hilarious moment unfolded on the field.

On the final ball of the 19th over, Ishant Sharma bowled a short delivery on leg stump. Ashutosh went for the shot but missed, and the ball deflected off his bicep to the keeper. Buttler collected it cleanly behind the stumps. Ishant, convinced he had his man, exchanged a few animated words with Ashutosh. The Delhi pacer continued the banter, while Ashutosh cheekily claimed it came off his shoulder. The Twitterverse had a laugh over the light-hearted exchange and quickly jumped on social media to share the fun.
