England has now announced its squad for the T20 World Cup 2026. The one-time T20 World Cup champions are now ready to give their best in the next edition. But this time, their team is having some surprises, which await for the fans in the tournament.

The T20 World Cup is looming closer with each passing day. And just like every other team, England has also announced its line-up for the tournament. The team finished in the semi-final stages of the previous season, and now they are eager to get their second title win.

Jos Buttler had stepped down as England's captain in the white ball format earlier this year. So, the team had to go through a challenge of appointing a new captain for the T20 World Cup. They have been able to name a new skipper with ease, as Harry Brook makes his way to the team as a captain.

England had a tough time in the Test series against Australia. But while the majority of the fans were thinking of their Test performances, the board decided to announce its team for the T20 World Cup. It can be said that they have named some of the best players the team could possibly have on their side for the tournament.

From their batting line-up to bowling, the team has named great stars to the same. It starts with Phil Salt, who has been the finest T20 batsman for the team over the last few years. Moreover, Salt has been able to do well even in the Indian conditions, which will help England to do well. The same will also go for Jos Buttler.

Buttler is not the captain, but he will be playing as a player in the next edition. It is also confirmed that England will be using the same team for the T20I series against Sri Lanka.
