Battles between world-class batters and bowlers are always one for the ages and Jasprit Bumrah did just that as he outclassed Shubman Gill during the MI vs GT match at the Wankhede Stadium. After getting hit for a four, Bumrah made a stunning comeback to castle Gill and gave a fiery send-off too.

‌With a high-stakes match and the winner to go top of IPL 2025 points table, MI did not have a good time with the bat as they managed to make 155/8 in their batting essay. However, they made amends with an excellent start with the ball, tying Gujarat down to 29/1 at the end of the powerplay.

But GT held on to accelerate during the middle phase with Sherfane Rutherford smashing two sixes and two fours in his 12-ball 26 before rain interrupted play. As rain receded, Pandya brought his strike bowler Jasprit Bumrah straight away with the equation set at 49 from the last six overs.

Gill treated the pacer with disdain, sending him to the mid-wicket fence with a short-arm jab off the second ball of the over. Bumrah, who was visibly irritated, upped his ante and came up with a jaffa in the penultimate ball of the same over as Gill played all over it.

The batter had no clue as the ball tailed in, in full tilt before beating Gill’s bat and crashing the off-stump after hitting his pad. Bumrah was riled up and gave fist thumping send off to the batter showing who the boss was. Twitter erupted as it celebrated yet another GOAT moment from the legend.
