Lalit Modis Sharp Criticism of Sanjiv Goenka Sparks Debate

Lalit Modi, the former IPL Chairman, has launched a verbal attack on Sanjiv Goenka. This came after Lucknow Super Giants lost their match against Delhi Capitals, and Goenka was seen a bit angry towards Pant. Modi criticised him for the same, openly saying that he must have banned him if he was the chairman.

Another controversy has erupted in IPL 2026 and this time it is not among the players. It is among the managers of the tournament and the ones who were formerly linked with the tournament. Lalit Modi, the former IPL Chairman, has launched a sharp criticism against Sanjiv Goenka.

He tweeted by saying a number of things to Sanjiv Goenka, talking about his behaviour. And in his tweet, he highlighted the incident that happened between Sanjiv Goenka and Rishabh Pant. After LSG had lost the game they had almost won, Goenka had a serious chat with Pant on the same.

And he was surely unhappy with the loss, since both were engaged in a serious talk. This even reminded the fans about the incident that took place between Sanjiv Goenka and KL Rahul a few seasons back. Criticising the same, Lalit Modi also said that this is the reason why a clause related to it has been implemented by the BCCI.
