Rishabh Pant Scripts Another WTC Record, Twitter Goes Wild
Rishabh Pant is now the highest run-scorer for India in the World Test Championship. Despite starting the WTC late due to an accident, he has overtaken every other star with his fearless intent. In the second Test match against Sri Lanka, he was able to score 63 runs for the team.
Rishabh Pant can be named as the new record maker for the Indian cricket team. In the second Test match against Sri Lanka, he also managed to take advantage of the start given to the team by Yashasvi Jaiswal and Devdutt Padikkal. When Pant stepped in, he managed to bag a few runs before being retired hurt.
Following this, he was able to return to the field quickly on the same day and batted a little more for the Indian team. Today, he was able to score a half century, and even finished his knock at the score of 63, with a few massive sixes. This was not just another fifty for Spidey, as he was able to get one record solely to his own name.
With this fifty, Rishabh Pant is now the highest run-scorer for India in the World Test Championship. With 2948 runs in 74 innings, he is now standing above Shubman Gill, who has scored 2917 runs in 76 innings.
Here's how Twitter has reacted to the same:

Rishabh Pant took an 18 month break from the game due to his accident. Still, he is having more runs for the Indian team in the WTC than the ones who have been playing constantly.

Rishabh Pant seems to be the Indian batsman who is following the Bazball legacy. He is able to follow the T20 format shots even in the longest format of the game.
