Ranji Trophy final clash between Karnataka and Jammu & Kashmir saw a fiery clash between players. Paras Dogra gave a headbutt to Karnataka's Aneesh, and this resulted in an altercation on the field. It escalated to such an extent, even KL Rahul and Mayank Agarwal had to step up in support of their player.

The Ranji Trophy final has attracted the fans much more than expected, and it is due to the altercation which took place on the field. Jammu & Kashmir is going against Karnataka for the final clash. And the stakes of the game are so high, the players can't be blamed for losing their temper on each other.

This happened when Jammu and Kashmir were batting on Day 2. Their key batsman, Paras Dogra, got involved in a heated clash with KV Aneesh who was placed at the silly point. This clash went so far that even the umpires had to step in to seperate the players. What's more shocking to the fans is the fact that two calm players, KL Rahul and Mayank Agarwal lost their cool.

Headbutt Incident

KV Aneesh is not in the playing XI for Karnataka in the final match against Jammu and Kashmir. But on Day 2, he came in as a substitute fielder for the team, as Jammu and Kashmir batted much longer than expected. Avneesh was placed at the silly point position, and he stood there when the incident took place.

It happened in the 101st over of the innings, which was being bowled by Prasidh Krishna. The ball was played fine by Paras for a boundary, but words were exchanged between KV Aneesh and Paras Dogra. After smashing the ball for a boundary, Dogra went towards Aneesh and the tempers flared between them.

In a few seconds, the captain of Jammu and Kashmir gave a headbutt to the substitute fielder. Watching the situation escalate so quickly, the umpires quickly intervened. Even the captain of Karnataka, Mayank Agarwal, didn't like the behaviour of Paras Dogra, so he charged towards them in support of his teammate.

KL Rahul also joined Mayank Agarwal in the same, as they stood between Paras Dogra and KV Aneesh. Soon enough, Paras Dogra realised his mistake and even apologised for the same. But KV Aneesh rejected the apology which he made. Following this, KL Rahul and Mayank Agarwal had their go at Paras Dogra for his headbutt.

Wadhawan vs Vyshak

Shortly after the incident between Paras Dogra and KV Aneesh, another incident followed. This was between Wadhawan and Vijayakumar Vyshak, and it happened within the next few overs. Dogra and Wadhawan were building a stand as Karnataka was looking for a wicket. In the over bowled by Vyshak, Wadhawan decided to take a single.

But that single didn't go as he expected. While running, he brushed his soldier past Vijayakumar Vyshak, causing a disruption in his follow through. Eventually, both of the players had an argument for the same and words were exchanged quickly. On the other hand, Paras Dogra passed a smile to this incident, as he also faced a clash a few overs back.

The commentators said, “This is on Wadhawan because Vyshak did not move from his position. No, the rule is that Vyshak, in his follow-through, will remain in his position and that the batter needs to change his route.”

J&K Dominate Initial Game

The final clash of the Ranji Trophy between Jammu & Kashmir and Karnataka is completely being dominated by Jammu and Kashmir. Playing a final for the first time, the team has showcased strong performances from the very beginning of the game. They started off the match by batting first and batted for the entire two days.

The team was able to score 584 runs in 173.1 overs, which comes out as a massive total for the first innings. Shubham Pundir was able to score 121 runs, as he was the only centurion for them. Yawer Hassan, Paras Dogra, Abdul Samad, Kanhaiya Wadhawan, and Sahil Lotra, all managed to bring up half-centuries.

Prasidh Krishna came out as the star for Karnataka in the first innings of the game, as he took a five-wicket haul. With Karnataka batting now, the team has already lost 4 wickets and are yet to reach the score of 150 in 40 overs. Mayank Agarwal, however, remains firm on the crease as he nears a ton.
