Delhi Capitals have once again finished in the league stages of the IPL. This marks yet another season for the team without reaching the playoffs. Their Head Coach, Hemang Badani, reacted to the losses which could have been avoided this season.

Fans do loved watching Delhi Capitals play in this season but once again, the team failed to make it to the playoffs. Fortunately, they were able to win the previous match against Kolkata Knight Riders, ending the tournament on a positive note. But it looks like the team needs some revamps to be done ahead of the next season.

They have given us some of the finest matches this season. The match where KL Rahul alone went on to score 153 runs and Delhi Capitals posted a massive total of 264 runs. Even the match against Royal Challengers Bengaluru, where David Miller was able to finish the game against Romario Shepherd in the final over.

Hemang Badani, the Head Coach of the team, said, “There were many games that I felt that could go either way. One being the GT game which we lost by 1 run. The 264 game, you would fancy yourself to defend that score. We dropped some catches at a crucial time against CSK and SRH.”

Our Take

Delhi Capitals will be taking a look at these matches as a lesson for the upcoming season. Players such as KL Rahul and Kuldeep Yadav were able to showcase their best in the last league game, which comes as a boost for the team. Still, there will be questions around the captaincy as the team did its best but still fell short in crucial stages of the tournament.
