Royal Challengers Bengaluru will be going against Gujarat Titans tonight in Qualifier 1. Fans are worried whether Phil Salt will be playing in this game or not. Amidst all this, the team's skipper, Rajat Patidar has talked about Salt's availability for the ultimate clash.

Royal Challengers Bengaluru have made it to the Qualifier 1 of the tournament. However, it should be noted that the team endured some challenges without having Phil Salt in their line-up. He suffered with a finger injury right before the game against Delhi Capitals at Chinnaswamy Stadium, and has been out of action since then.

After him, the team even tried Jacob Bethell as an opener who was not able to do well. While Venkatesh Iyer did well while opening, he didn't come out at his usual batting spot. He has joined the team at Dharamshala and even participated in the training sessions, which has made fans think that he would be available to play.

However, things may not be as we see them. The RCB skipper, Rajat Patidar, opened up on Phil Salt's availability for the Qualifier 1 clash. He said, “Phil Salt is fit. He is under observation from the doctor. He has been participating in a few drills but we haven't decided on our playing eleven yet. We will look at the wicket and decide.”

Our Take

The answer given by Rajat Patidar on the availability of Phil Salt remains mixed. He confirmed that Salt is fit, but he also said that he is being observed by the doctors. Along with that, while Salt is participating in the drills, it is still not sure whether he will be a part of the playing XI or not. And if he makes it to the line-up, who will be rested by the Royal Challengers Bengaluru in this crucial game.
