Antonio Conte has admitted that Paul Pogba "dreamed" of returning to Manchester United even when the former was managing Juventus. The former Italy boss also said that Chelsea do not have a specific plan to stop Pogba because of the overall quality that Joe Mourinho has at his disposal.

"He was born in England, in terms of the football aspect. I remember when we took him from Manchester United," Conte said in the pre-match conference.

"A fantastic player. A great player. He deserves . For him, to come back in Manchester United was his dream. I wish for him the best, but only after the game on Sunday."

Conte managed Pogba for two seasons while at Juventus winning the league title both times. The Italian praised the Frenchman's abilities but insisted that Chelsea did not have any special plans for the United player.

"We must pay attention to the whole team of Manchester United. In their team there are a lot of great players," Conte added.

"One of these is, for sure, Ibrahimovic. A player I consider a fantastic player. But there are many, many players. We must pay attention , the whole team, together to their type of play and to find the right solution when we have the ball, and when we are without the ball."

United, who won their Europa league encounter 4-1 during the week against Fenerbahce, will face a Chelsea side that has finally looked more like the Conte teams we have seen in the last few years. Conte's decision to shift to a 3-4-3 formation against Leicester paid huge dividends as the ran out 3-0 winners.

"I'm pleased, because after many games where we conceded two or sometimes three goals we changed the system of play. I think that the team took a lot of benefit from these changes," said the Chelsea boss.

"The players found the right suit with this . More compact. Above all, we haven't lost our danger in offensive situations. That's important. Also, we know we must continue to work to progress under this way,” he said.
