Jose Mourinho decided to answer a journalist's phone that started ringing during his pre-match press conference in Carrington yesterday. Mourinho, for once, appeared to be in a good mood as he prepares to face arch rivals Liverpool at Old Trafford for the first time in his career.

During the pre-match presser ahead of the Manchester United-Liverpool clash, a phone kept in front of Mourinho started ringing while he was answering a question by the press. At this point, the United boss decided to answer the phone and went on to tell the journalists that it was a call from Talksport. He handed the phone back to the journalist, who was quick to apologize and Mourinho casually told all present that he had forgotten the question.

This is, however, not the first time this has happened during a presser. Burnley manager, Sean Dyche, not only answered a call during an interview but went on to a have a small chat with the other person on the line a few years back.

We have some similarities: Mourinho

United are enjoying a great run of form, their best one since the departure of Sir Alex Ferguson and are favourites going into the game against Liverpool. They have now won six premier league games in a row and are 11 games unbeaten in all competitions.

"I just think we like to win. Everyone has his own personality, style and coaching and leading," Mourinho replied to a question about similarities between him and Jurgen Klopp during the press conference.

"Probably we have some similarities and other characteristics that make us different. He wants to play the game as much as I want, I am not sure if he is so calm as I am. It is one more big match."

Liverpool's form has been inconsistent, to say the least, since the turn of the year. After their new year eve day victory over Manchester City, Liverpool drew against Sunderland in the league, drew against Plymouth in the FA Cup and were beaten by Southampton in the first leg of the league cup semi-final. But the Liverpool manager said that he was not worried about the results.

"I hear it in your questions, I hear it when I talk to different people, because of our last game (the 1-0 defeat at Southampton) it is like 'Oh my God - and now it is Man United' but give me 11 players and we will be competitive," Klopp said.

"I know how they (players) react to not-that-good performances. It is not about being confident before the game, it is about getting confidence in the game with the right kind of movements, right kind of defending."
