Arsenal have asked West Ham, about the availability of Issa Diop. The Frenchman had an outstanding season in the Premier League last term, which also happened to be his first. His performances have drawn serious interest from various clubs, including Manchester United and now Arsenal.

Chasing after defensive reinforcements thanks to the potential departures of Laurent Koscielny and Shkodran Mustafi, Arsenal's manager Unai Emery, has expressed serious concerns. The Spanish boss has urged his board to move faster, as deadline day comes closer and options become smaller.

However, West Ham’s demands have been too much for Stan Kroenke's club, valuing the Frenchman at €70 million, according to the Daily Mail. For Arsenal, it’s even worse with the club, spending an enormous amount for Lille's star Nicolas Pépé and Saint-Étienne's William Saliba.

Negotiations between the two sides ended quickly, as they couldn’t reach an agreement over a fee for the Frenchman. Manchester United also asked for Issa Diop, in order to fulfil Ole Gunnar Solskjaer wish of adding someone to partner with Victor Lindelof.
