According to a report published by Goal, ISL side Mumbai City FC has roped in Sarthak Golui and Hmingthan Mawia for the next season of the league. The Mumbai team recently finished its ISL campaign by getting thrashed by FC Goa in the two-leg semi-final battle and will play the Super Cup next.

Golui and Mawia, who is commonly called Valpuia, have been signed by the Islanders for the next 2019-20 season of the league. Golui played at the right back position for FC Pune City and played in 15 matches for the club in the previous season. He played all the matches for the club after the international break under Phil Brown but will represent Mumbai in the sixth edition of the league later this year. The 21-year-old former Mohun Bagan footballer was also a part of the Indian team at the AFC Asian Cup but didn’t get a chance to make it onto the field in the UAE.

On the other hand, Valpuia has played 15 I-League games for Aizwal FC and was an important member of their defensive set up last season. However, Mumbai City FC already has Subhasish Bose and Souvik Chakrabarti in the squad to start as defenders in the first XI for Jorge Costa.
