Former England star David Beckham wants Kylian Mbappe to be his first blue-chip football client as the Manchester United legend ventures into a new career as a football agent. Beckham opened a new company Footwork Management last month and hopes to recruit Mbappe as his first high-profile client.

The former England captain David Beckham registered Footwork Management Ltd last month, with friend Dave Gardner and former PR chief Nicola Howson also listed as directors and former Nottingham Forest striker David Johnson appointed to manage their clients. Beckham now has set his sights on recruiting Kylian Mbappe as it could prove to be lucrative for the agency. The PSG striker remains unsettled amid interest from Manchester City and Real Madrid.

Beckham previously played for PSG and still has good contacts with the officials at the club. It is understood by Daily Mirror that Beckham has already had several meetings with the French world cup winner Mbappe. The 20-year-old striker is currently one of the most in-demand players in the world since his revolutionary season at Monaco which earned him a move to Paris. Mbappe has scored 62 goals in 92 outings for the Ligue 1 champions.

Spanish giants Real Madrid and Barcelona both have been keen on Mbappe and is expected to leave France soon and join one of the heavyweights if he is expected become one of the best footballers on the planet post the era of Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo.
