Premier League giants Manchester City have been hit with an injury crisis in defence, and have identified Inter Milan defender Milan Skriniar as an ideal replacement. However, the Serie A side hold the centre back in high regard, and the club has made it clear that Skriniar is out of bounds.

Milan Skriniar had been targeted this summer as well, but the Serie A giants managed to hold on to the star defender, who is also considered to be one of the best young centre backs in the world. Italian news outlet, Tuttosport, has revealed that Inter Milan do not have any plans to sell the defender and further adds that the Nerazzurri will hold on to Skriniar, in the upcoming January transfer window and during next summer as well.

The Slovakian International is considered an important part of the squad, both by the Inter board of directors and new manager Antonio Conte. The club has spent heavily this summer, and is aiming to end the dominance of Juventus in the domestic competitions. The Turin giants have dominated the Italian top tier for the last eight odd years and are on course to win a ninth straight Scudetto.

However, if Inter Milan want to have anything to say against that then the 24-year-old, alongside Diego Godin and Stefan De Vrij, will play an integral part in Inter’s defensive backbone if the club wants to make their mark this season.
