2022 World Cup Qualfiers | India coach Igor Stimac says Bangladesh tie will be very different from Qatar one
Indian national team coach Igor Stimac feels that the upcoming match against Bangladesh is going to be very different from their infamous draw away to Qatar earlier this month. India has already lost its opening game in the qualifiers against Oman but managed to sneak a vital away point in Doha.
The Croatian has already announced a probable 29-member squad for the preparatory camp in Guwahati from October 3 ahead of the fixture next month at the Salt Lake Stadium in Kolkata. It is learnt that he will trim another four names from the list by the end of this week.
“The list will be further cut for another 4 names until the end of the week. This is an initial list of 29 players. We still have some uncertainties with small injury problems with few players,” said Stimac speaking to the All India Football Federation (AIFF).
The 0-0 draw against Qatar in their own den was a mammoth effort by the Blue Tigers but the gaffer feels that the Bangladesh tie is going to be a very different one from the away fixture and demands a fit contingent for the game.
“The Bangladesh game is going to be very different from the last one against Qatar. We need all the players to be fully fit, and ready for the day,” added Stimac.
India will face off Bangladesh on October 15 at the iconic Salt Lake Stadium in Kolkata.
