Paris Saint-Germain defender Sergio Ramos has admitted that he did have a tough start to life in Paris and with PSG but things have started to improve for him now. The defender left Real Madrid after spending just fifteen years with the club but has struggled since his move to the Ligue 1.

It stunned the world when Paris Saint-Germain signed not just Gianluigi Donnarumma and Georgino Wijnaldum on free-transfers but Sergio Ramos and Lionel Messi as well. That showed for the first time in a long time, the power and name that the Ligue 1 giants had made for themselves, and it shocked Real Madrid after Ramos refused an extension and left the club instead. It brought a sixteen odd year career at the Santiago Bernabeu to an end but the Spaniard has struggled.

A series of various injuries and other problems has seen the defender play just five times across all competitions, with just three starts. However, in his latest start, Ramos scored his first goal for the Parisians and was full of joy but admitted that things have been tough for him so far. But he also revealed that he believes the tide is turning and that he’s happy to have played the full 90 for the first time in a few months.

"I'm very happy for this victory and for my first goal with this team. I'm happy to have played 90 minutes. I like to have the support of the public. It's my first goal with PSG and I hope there will be many more. It's important to build up habits and routine. I've been back with the group for three weeks and I'm getting into the rhythm," Ramos told Amazon Prime at full-time.

"I'm very happy because I've been away from the pitch for a long time, which is my home. I feel very happy. Regarding the city of Paris, I feel better today because I had spent a lot of time in Madrid before. It was hard at the beginning but now I feel a little better."
