After winning three out of their three matches, Gujarat Fortunegiants coach Manpreet Singh stated that his team has proved their worth through their performance. After beating Dabang Delhi 31-26 last night, he also added that his team was prepared to fight against a quality Delhi side.

Gujarat Fortunegiants played brilliantly in last night’s encounter against Dabang Delhi. Till yesterday, both the teams were unbeaten and they came into this match with full confidence. Gujarat and Delhi were almost neck to neck from the start of the game but by the end of first half, Delhi took the lead by inflicting an all-out on Gujarat. Gujarat came back in the second-half with an allround performance. In the raiding department, they scored a total of 17 points. Rohit Gulia scored the most raid points while the defensive unit scored 10 points witg GB More getting four tackle points under his name.

“When the league starts, during the first two or three matches, you have to ensure your team plays well and not look at whether you are winning or losing. We have to prove ourselves through our performances. Whatever we practice, if we can translate even 50% of that on the mat during a game, we will do well.

"Today’s game was very tight because Dabang Delhi K.C. have a very balanced and experienced team, both in offence and defence. It was a very good match. We knew from the start itself that it would be a close game and anyone could win. But in the end, we played with a cool mind and focused on ourselves. So, we won,” Gujarat coach Manpreet Singh said in the post-match press conference.

Gujarat has been one of the most consistent teams for the past two seasons and they are continuing with the same momentum in this season as well. Gujarat players focus on practices and are most accurate strategies executors. In their fourth game of the season, the team from Ahemdabad will take on home side U Mumba today evening.

“As per our strategy and plan, we were focusing on both their raiders (Naveen Kumar and Chandran Ranjit) and More G B performed very well today from our side,” Manpreet concluded.
