Tamil Thalaivas' coach Edacherry Bhaskaran was quite delighted with his team's performance against Telugu Titans and has said that having faith in players helps them in improving their performance. He also stressed on how the mix of veterans and youngsters helps in all-round performance of a team.

Tamil Thalavias won their opening game against Telugu Titans by a point difference of 13. It was a crucial game for the Thalavias as they have been the bottom feeders in the last two seasons. They had made big changes to the side which worked in their favour in the seventh season of the league. They bought players like Rahul Chaudhari, Shabeer Bapu, Mohit Chhillar and Rann Singh at the auctions earlier this year. All these players performed well on the mat and that made the Tamil Thalavias coach a happy man.

“Experience definitely does help. To have such veterans who can read the situation and react accordingly is extremely important to us. And the other thing was that the players we trusted repaid our faith in them,” Edacherry Bhaskaran said in the post-match press conference. One of the biggest talking points in the match was Rahul Chaudhari’s comeback that too against his former team. He scored a total of 12 points out of which ten were raid points. The other raiders were able to work around him well too and Ajay Thakur and Shabeer Bapu were able to quickly revive him when he got out. The coach also spoke about the mix of youth and experience in the side after the win against the home side yesterday.

“We have a good mix of youngsters and veterans. The newer players look up to the likes of Ajay as their older brother and are motivated to perform well and give their 100%,” the Thalavias coach concluded.
