Puneri Paltan will miss the services of their Nitin Tomar in the Mumbai and Patna legs of the ongoing seventh season of the Pro Kabaddi League due to an injury. According to the team, Tomar is still recovering from the muscle pull due to which he had to miss their opening game against Haryana.

After losing their opening game against Haryana Steelers due to the absence of the star raider Nitin Tomar, Puneri Paltan have received a major jolt in the form of Nitin Tomat being ruled out of the next two legs of the league which will be played in Mumbai and Patna, informed the Twitter handle of the franchise.

Tomar had 100 points from 11 matches in the previous season before being ruled out from the tournament due to injury. In his absence, the team will have Manjeet, Pawan Kadian and Darshan Kadian taking up the responsibility of the raiding department.

“Nitin will come back soon on the mat, the rest of the players Darshan, Manjeet and Pawan all are young players and it was a tough last match. We are going to rectify our mistakes; we have been practising so that we could improve. We have been telling our raiders about the mistakes they are making and hopefully we will play well in the next match and win,” Surjeet had told SportsCafe.

The Anup Kumar-coached team will play U Mumba in the first game of the Mumbai leg later tonight.
