After Gujarat Fortunegiants' loss against Patna Pirates last evening, coach Manpreet Singh has said that luck hasn’t favoured his team much this season as they have lost a lot of close matches. He also talked about the changing point in the match as well as the plans for the upcoming season.

Gujarat Fortunegiants lost their last night’s match against Patna Pirates with a scoreline of 33-39. They seemed to be at a commanding position at the halfway stage where they led by four points and they even managed to inflict an all-out early in the second half. They weren’t able to maintain their lead and succumbed to Patna Pirates' resilience.

“Luck hasn’t been too kind to us this season. All the players have tried their best in every match so far this season, but we just couldn’t get the job done. We will have to assess the situation at the end of the campaign,” coach Manpreet Singh said in the post-match press conference.

This was the second-last match for the Fortunegiants this season and they gave their all in the match but unfortunately lost the match. The highest contribution in the team was of GB More who scored 11 raid and four tackle points and was the highest scorer in both the departments. Apart from him, skipper Rohit Gulia scored six points but was unsuccessful in six raids as well. The raid of Jang Kun Lee was very crucial as it gave Patna the momentum to clean up the Fortunegiants and win by a six-point margin.

“Jang Kun Lee's raid right at the end was the turning point, I believe. After that, our raiders couldn’t pick up any points,” the Gujarat coach concluded.
