We invite you to find out all the latest information about cricketer Yashasvi Jaiswal, how he trains, which cricket matches he has already participated in, and which ones he plans to participate in.

Royal Challengers Bengaluru secure their third consecutive win of the season by defeating Rajasthan Royals. The home team starts by posting a massive total on the board. But Phil Salt's 70 and Virat Kohli’s composed knock helped RCB to chase the total in 19.2 overs.
Yashasvi Bhupendra Kumar Jaiswal popularly known as Yashasvi Jaiswal is a rising superstar for the Indian Cricket team who is leading India's rich cricketing legacy into brighter days. He is a left-handed aggressive batsman and plays as an opener for India. He was born on December 21, 2001, in Suriyawan, Bhadohi, Uttar Pradesh in a middle-class family. His sheer determination made him a proficient batter and brought wide recognition in domestic cricket. Soon his attacking gameplay grabbed selectors’ eyes and he got a national call. In his international career, he had already scored 1798 runs in 19 test matches, and 723 runs in 23 T20Is but he had not debuted at ODIs yet. Hopefully, he will be in the One Day International squad very soon. Below here we mention some key moments from his international career:
Jaiswal is a phenomenal hard-hitting left-handed batsman who has a strong reputation for his batting in the IPL. Rajasthan Royals had shown belief in him in the 2020 IPL. He is standing out and proving the franchise’s decision right. His mighty season was the 2023 IPL season as he scored more than 600 runs with a century and the fastest fifty in the IPL. Over time, he is proving his batting skills and worth in the game with Rajasthan’s Jersey.
Year | Information about Participation in the Tournament |
2020 IPL | He started his IPL career with the Rajasthan Royals team for INR 2.40 crore. He played only 3 matches and scored only 40 runs which was disappointing for him as he wasn’t able to show his capabilities. |
2021 IPL | In this season, RR had shown faith in him and retained him at INR 2.40 crores. He played 10 matches and scored 249 runs at a strike rate of 148.21 with one half-century. The overall performance is decent which gave a solid confidence to do better in the upcoming season. |
2022 IPL | This year once again RR had retained him at INR 4.00 crores. He had played 10 matches and scored 258 runs with a strike rate of 132.98. The season was going almost the same as the previous one. |

He made a century of 124 runs which was a magnificent inning against the most successful team Mumbai Indians this season. He also made the fastest fifty in ipl with just 13 balls against Kolkata Knight Riders. This season was a massive breakthrough for his cricket career and ranked 5th on the list of the most runs in IPL. |
2024 IPL | RR retained him at INR 4 crores and he scored 435 runs from 16 matches. He made another century of 104* with only 62 balls against Mumbai Indians on April 30, 2023, with a strike rate of 200.00. The overall runs are lesser than the previous season but he had some match-winning knocks. |
2025 IPL | Rajasthan Royals retained Jaiswal for INR 18 crore ahead of the mega auction, backing him as a key batter. He delivered with 559 runs in 14 matches at a strike rate of 159.71, finishing as the team’s top scorer with six half-centuries. |
2026 IPL | Retained as the premier opener for INR 18 crores. He is expected to take on a senior leadership role under new captain Riyan Parag, anchoring the top order for the 19th edition of the league. |
He started his first-class match against Chhattisgarh on January 7, 2019. He scored 20 runs from 40 balls which was a decent performance in his debut first-class cricket. He made his List A debut on September 20, 2019, for India Under 23 against Bangladesh Under 23. But unfortunately, they did not score any runs and got bowled by Abu Hider in 3 balls. Overall he had played 36 first-class matches where he scored 3712 runs with a highest score of 265 runs. In List A cricket, he played 32 matches and scored 1511 runs with the highest score of 203 runs.
He first gained recognition in the 2019–20 Vijay Hazare Trophy when he became the youngest cricketer to score a double century in List A cricket. He was playing for Mumbai and scored 203 runs off 154 balls against Jharkhand. He was also the leading run-scorer for India in the 2020 U-19 Cricket World Cup, with 400 runs in six matches, including a century in the semifinal. He was a consistent performer for Mumbai in the Ranji Trophy, often scoring big runs at crucial times.
As a young star, Jaiswal has a long journey ahead in his career. However, he had made few notable records in his short duration time frame. His bat is breaking the number charts every day and creating history for Indian cricket. Hopefully, he will be making a huge number of records and getting a lot of awards due to his consistent batting performances.
Awards:
Jaiswal came in a transition phase of the Indian team where the top-order seniors were packing their bags to take leave from international cricket. Despite this, he made his name so prominent in International cricket in this short span and earned some awards. These are some of them listed below:
Records:
Jaiswal made some historic records as an Indian cricketer in his impactful career. Let us dig deep into his record collections.
He was born on 28 December 2001 at Suriyawan of Uttar Pradesh. He shifted to Mumbai at ten years old to get training at Azad Maidan. He was spending his life in a tent and selling panipuri to fulfil his needs. Later Jwala Singh spotted his potential and provided a place to live and practice before becoming a legal guardian. From there to today, he made a lot of sacrifices and struggles to make a spot in the Indian Cricket team.
He was the youngest of four children in his family. His parents are Bhupendra jaiswal and Kanchan Jaiswal. His father ran a small hardware store to earn money. His brother Tejasvi Jaiswal is also a professional cricketer who was representing Tripura in the Ranji Trophy.
As per the reports, his net worth is estimated at INR 16 crores. The BCCI board made a Grade B contract with him for 2023/24 seasons. As per 2024 data, a grade B player gets a salary of INR 3 crore annually. Besides the BCCI contract, he is earning through various brand endorsements, passive income sources, real estate investments and IPL salary. However, his financial growth has been substantial over the last few years.
From spending time in a tent to being the owner of a luxurious residence in Mumbai is so inspiring for everyone. In 2024, he purchased a 5 BHK apartment in Bandra (East) of 1100 square foot area with a luxurious design modern amenities and many more. This apartment is worth more than INR 5.38 crore. It is a lavish apartment situated in a costly economic zone Bandra Kurla Complex. He owns a Mercedes-Benz SUV of around INR 1 crore, a Tata Harrier of around INR 15 lakhs, and a Mahindra Thar of around INR 20 lakhs in his car’s garage.
Recently Jaiswal’s dismissal by a caught behind appeal became controversial as it questioned the Decision Review System on the final day of the fourth test of India vs Australia in the Border Gavaskar Trophy in 2024. The on-field umpire gave not out but countering the on-field umpire, Australian Captain Pat Cummins took DRS. In review, the real-time ‘Snickometer’ showed no spike of edges but from the visual aspect (deflection) of 2D, the third umpire overruled the on-field umpire’s decisions and gave out which was a topic of debate that spread over social media.
He has a huge fan following on social media including Instagram and Facebook. On Facebook, he has almost 1.2 million and on Instagram, he has 4.3 million followers. Over time, he has gained popularity due to the continuous media attention for his outstanding performances in cricket.
