Rishabh Pant scored a brilliant 57 runs in an ultimately unsuccessful run chase against Royal Challengers Bangalore as Delhi fell short of their target by 15 runs. Twitterati praised the youngster for his effort after he turned up for the match despite the death of his father on Wednesday night.

Riding on the brilliant bowling display by Billy Stanlake and Tymal Mills, Royal Challengers thwarted Rishabh Pant's exceptional effort to secure their first victory of the 2017 IPL campaign. Earlier, Kedar Jadhav's 69 had propelled Bangalore to a formidable 157 runs after a top order collapse.

Brief scores: Royal Challengers Bangalore 157/8 ( Kedar Jadhav 69, Shane Watson 24; Chris Morris 3/21, Zaheer Khan 2/31) beat Delhi Daredevils 142/9 (Rishabh Pant 57, Sam Billings 25; Pawan Negi 2/3, Billy Stanlake 2/29) by 15 runs.

#Respect

Seems Legit!

He must really hate Delhi!

Still a better story than twilight #classic

If only Kedar wasn't 32

Binny's back!!

It is truly a shame. Isn't it?
