The IPL has successfully nurtured innovation in all aspects of cricket. From switch-hits and paddle sweeps to no look run outs, we have seen it all in the T20 carnival. Today, playing his first game for the Delhi Daredevils, Kagiso Rabada used his great footballing skills to run out Harbhajan Singh.

Mumbai were already reeling at 120/5 when Harbhajan Singh walked in to bat. The offie kept rotating the strike well with Hardik Pandya but a moment of quick thinking by Rabada brought the curtains down on the 12 run partnership. The incident took place on the last delivery of the 19th over which was bowled by Kagiso Rabada and had yielded just nine runs.

Bowling the last over of his day, the South African bowled a great death over delivery and cramped Hardik Pandya for room. Pandya managed to get an inside edge and was called for a run by Harbhajan as the ball lay dead on the pitch. At this moment, both the Indian and the South African were level on the pitch but Rabada showed his speed as he made up the ground to the ball pretty quickly. Rabada reached the ball first and side-footed it to the stumps while Harbhajan Singh was well short of his crease.
