Mitchell Starc has made a name for himself thanks to his exceptional bowling abilities but today he showcased his quick reactions with a stunner against England. Despite the ball being hit at him with ferocity, Starc managed to readjust in just 0.561 seconds to send Jonny Bairstow packing.

Australia, who had controlled the match right from the first session, maintained a strong hold on the game on Day 3 as well by picking up wickets on regular occasions. After declaring their first innings at 442/8, they managed to restrict England’s innings in just 227 runs. In the second innings, Starc, who claimed three wickets including that of Bairstow showed off his quick reaction followed by some juggling moves.

The incident occurred in the 54th over of the England’s innings when Bairstow was at the strike at 21 runs. Bairstow hit the first ball of Starc's over straight back at the bowler and would have expected to get a few runs out of it due to the sound coming off the bat. Starc, however, was quick to respond and managed to get a strong hand on the ball before grasping it on the second attempt that too with his non bowling hand. The replays revealed that the Aussie had reacted in just 0.561 seconds to Bairstow's shot before catching it after the fumble.

The Twitterati applauded Starc's effort and while having digs at England, who look set to lose the second Test as well.

It is on!

I feel for you my friend!

That timing!
