Manish Pandey rode his luck during his knock of 30 runs in the second T20I at Nagpur against England as he survived being bowled by Ben Stokes in the 15th over. Stokes’ delivery clipped the top of the off-stump in the 5th ball of the over, but the bails somehow remained rooted to the stumps.

The initial sound, after Manish Pandey missed the ball in his attempt to steer it towards the point, seemed like the batsman might have nicked it. However, the replay showed that the LED lights on the stumps were turned on as the ball kissed the top of the off-stump, but the bails did not come off.

Stokes was left with his hands on his head and a wry smile on his face. However, that unfortunate moment did not prove to be too costly for England as Manish Pandey failed to accelerate, playing 26 deliveries for 30 runs. England restricted India to a total of 144 and are now looking like the favorites to win the three-match T20 series.
