After Dwayne Smith's funny dismissal in the first innings against DD, Rishabh Pant suffered a humiliating run out in the next innings when dismissed while standing a few inches from his crease. Pant appeared more interested in telling his partner the run was off than actually making his crease.

In the second over of the innings, Sanju Samson played on a Pradeep Sangwan delivery onto his stumps that brought Rishabh Pant to the crease. The first ball he faced was smashed to the boundary by the Delhi teenager and the Daredevils' fans would have felt a rush of confidence as their team had to chase down a humongous 196-run target.

On the very next ball, however, Sangwan bowled a full delivery on the leg stump that Pant was not able to connect with. Pant appeared to be too distracted by Sangwan's appeal to realize that the ball had gone straight into the hands of Suresh Raina in the slip cordon.

The Gujarat captain was quick to notice that the youngster was out of his crease and had no idea that he was a foot short of being safe. Raina immediately had a shy at the stumps and uprooted the middle stump. Pant realized his error and did not even wait for the umpire's decision as he made his way back to the dressing room.

While no one can deny that the Delhi youngster has immense talent, Pant still has a long way to go as he showed today.
