The fourth ODI between India and Sri Lanka became special affair for the hosts as Lasith Malinga claimed his 300th wicket in his 203rd match at Premadasa Stadium, yesterday. Virat Kohli became his victim and Rohit Sharma showed great sportsmanship, hugging the Sri Lankan after his captain's wicket.

Everything is not going well with the Sri Lankan team as they have already lost the five-match ODI series 4-0, but after a long time, the host experienced a pleasant moment. Their experienced bowler Malinga reached the mark of 300 wickets in the fourth ODI against India, yesterday.

The incident occurred in the 30th over of India’s innings. Kohli was on strike and Malinga bowled a full-length wide delivery. The Indian skipper played it as he bent on one knee and the ball traveled towards Dilshan Munaweera. He missed no chance to give his captain on the day to celebrate his landmark wicket. Sri Lankan players congratulated the 34-years-old as he completed 300 ODI wicket.

Sharma, who was at the non-striker's end also didn’t waste any time to wish his Mumbai Indians teammate. His gesture won the heart in the both countries as he hugged Malinga. He achieved this landmark in just 203 matches, behind the spin legend Muttiah Muralitharan who reached in 202 matches.
