Do you know what is a more beautiful sight for a batsman than the ball going over the ropes for a maximum? Seeing the umpire signal a no-ball after he has nicked one behind to the keeper. However, Rohit Sharma didn’t wait to see it and kept walking and needed Virat to Kohli call him back.

The India-Windies ODI series came to an end in the most ant-climactic manner possible. After a harmless Windies series went on to level the series 1-1 on Indian soil, most had expected the visitors to pose a strong fight in the series deciding ODI in Kerala. But, they were bundled for a meager 104 runs as India chased it down losing just one wicket in the process.

However, India’s seemingly easy chase had a horrendous start when Shikhar Dhawan was dismissed when India had just tallied 6 runs. And although Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma jointly took the game home, the opener was prey to a stunning delivery by Oshane Thomas in the eighth over, which if given, could have made things complicated for the side.

To Rohit’s luck, Oshane’s back of length saw his front foot going miles over the popping crease before taking Rohit’s edge and the umpire raised his hand almost immediately. Thomas couldn’t believe it and knelt down in despair as he knew that such a chance wasn’t coming anytime soon again.

A disappointed Sharma only had a look behind to see if the wicketkeeper collected it clean before starting his walk back the pavilion. Kohli, on the non-striker's end, had to then call him back waving his hand and pointing that the umpire had dismissed the ball and Rohit had gotten a free hit.
