Rishabh Pant has a knack of going overboard after every dismissal and who would be better than his national skipper to calm his nerves down. After celebrating Virat Kohli’s dismissal pre-maturely, the RCB skipper first laughed and then coached him why he was sure that it was a clear not-out.

Rishabh Pant is always a cheerful character and finds happiness in the small things of life. While there is no doubt regarding that, he learnt a lesson of toning down the excitement, by none other than Virat Kohli.

On the first ball of the fifth over, Ishant Sharma bowled a ball on the length and just outside off to which the RCB skipper wanted to dab it fine towards the open space on the right of Pant. While his plan was a good one, he couldn’t execute it perfectly due to the extra bounce that Ishant imparted on the ball. The ball moved to the right of Pant and was in the air for a while as the Delhi wicket-keeper stretched himself to the right and managed to gobble it up. Or so did he think.

After holding onto that, he instantly celebrated while Ishant Sharma was leaping in joy. Ishant’s was understandable, but Pant’s celebration got Kohli into a mood as he started laughing at it because he was sure that the ball had dropped in front of him and thus he was safe. The umpire checked among each other and gave the spot signal as “Not Out” while referring it to the third umpire.

The third umpire stuck to the on-field umpire’s belief and ruled that as Not Out, and while that made Delhi players sad, Kohli instantly turned towards Pant and started explaining why it was not out.
