Aaron Finch is of the opinion that although Glenn Maxwell was sensational in the second game, Adam Zampa was the difference between the two teams yesterday.  The Australian captain also hoped his team to peak at the right time coming out of pain ahead of the World Cup in England.

Maxwell’s match-winning hundred helped Australia beat India 2-0 in the T20I series by winning the second T20I in Bengaluru. The visitors, bowling first, restricted India for 190 on what seemed like a good wicket to bat on at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium. Zampa was very effective with his leg-spinners as he gave away only 23 runs in four overs which the Aussie skipper thinks is the difference between the two sides. For India, leg-spinner Yuzvendra Chahal proved expensive by conceding 47 runs in his quota of four overs.

“Anytime that you can win any kind of series against India in India is truly special. Glenn Maxwell was truly sensational tonight but I thought Adam Zampa was the difference between the two sides. To go for just 23 runs on that kind of a wicket was really remarkable,” Finch said at the presentation ceremony, reported Cricbuzz.

India had drawn a four-match T20I series in Australia before winning the Test and ODi series Down Under. However, with this win in the shortest format of the game and the ODI series coming up, the skipper is hoping his team to do well and peak at the right time with the World Cup approaching soon.

“We've been on a journey for the last 10-11 months building upto the World Cup and there has been some pain during the journey. We've done well to take the blows but also have made some progress, hoping to peak at the right time for the World Cup,” the opener concluded.
