VIDEO | Rishabh Pant takes 'babysit' seriously as he pampers Hanuma Vihari like his kid

It seems like Rishabh Pant has taken Tim Paine's 'babysit sledge' seriously as after posing as Paine’s kids' 'babysitter', he pulled off the same act on the field today. When Hanuma Vihari got hit on his thigh off a Marnus Labuschagne sweep, Pant was the first to the spot to make sure he was fine.

After Tim Paine-Rishabh Pant banter went viral, Paine’s wife Bonnie Paine clicked a photo with Pant carrying her kids at the Australia Prime Minister house and captioned it as “Best Babysitter, Rishabh Pant”. It was almost like everyone was waiting for that and people couldn’t resist themselves from going gaga over it.

If that was just a prelude, Pant decided to pull off another "babysitting job" on the field as he went ahead to hug Hanuma Vihari who was fielding at the dangerous short-leg position. The incident in question occurred in the 37th over of the Australian innings when Kuldeep Yadav decided to change his angle from over the wicket to round the wicket.

Labuschagne, who was given the go-ahead to bat in the crucial No.3 position, swept Yadav’s full and outside off-stump delivery but found Vihari as the obstacle there. Although Vihari tried to turn and avoid getting hit, the ball hit his right thigh before hitting his abdomen. Pant immediately ran towards Vihari to check if he was alright and to make the moment lighter, he hugged his head like a "babysitter does if a kid has a fall. Pant might have done that cheekily, but he showcased that he can babysit quite efficiently at the time of need.
