India’s Top T20 Cricket batsmen and Red Bull Athlete, KL Rahul, who holds the record of the fastest fifty in IPL (in 14 balls against Delhi Daredevils in IPL 2018), revealed his favourite fastest 50s in IPL history. Rahul's KXIP side will take on Ajinkya Rahane-led Rajasthan Royals in Jaipur today.

Chris Gayle - I don’t know where Chris Gayle stands on the fastest 50 lists, but I did witness the fastest 100 against Pune Warriors from the sidelines. I’m sure he got the 50 in very few balls as well. That was a special innings.

AB de Villiers - AB de Villiers’ knock against Gujarat in 2016. I don’t know where it stands on the fastest 50 list, but it was one of the very special half centuries in the league. I’ve always said that ABD is one of my favourite players and the most complete batsman according to me. He has changed the way modern day batting happens. It’s because of him and his knocks when playing in Bangalore that everyone looks at T20 batting and changed batters approach to the shortest format of the game.

Sunil Narine - Sunil Narine’s 50 in 2017. I know he got it in 15 balls. It was so unexpected to watch Narine walk out and smash a 15-ball 50. So that is one of my favourites. The whole innings was so quick, so it is tough to pick a moment from it. It was against my previous franchise, so I can’t be very happy about it. But it was a special knock. I was injured that year and I wasn’t playing, but I watched the match and saw him just destroy his country mate Samuel Badree. In fact, how he took on every bowler was so memorable.

Chris Lynn - I think Chris Lynn has also had a memorable innings in 2017. I enjoyed watching a destructive batsman like Chris Lynn get to his 50.

Virender Sehwag & MS Dhoni - Two other batsmen that I have loved watching pile on the runs in the league are Virender Sehwag and MS Dhoni. Dhoni has managed some incredible knocks even when coming in lower down the order, so it is really memorable for me. I think they hit their fastest fifty facing 20 balls.

AB de Villiers has stated that RCB were eaten alive by CSK at Chepauk as they were bowled out for just 70 runs in the opening match. He also stated that RCB were confident of making a strong start against CSK at their home but the loss, that too in such a manner, came as a shocker for the team.
